The opera ensemble of the South Bohemian Theatre once again presents the iconic masterpiece of Czech opera against the unique backdrop of the farmsteads of Holašovice. This typical South Bohemian village has preserved its architectural style known as "Folk Baroque" from the 19th century, making it an absolutely authentic setting for the adventurous courtship of Mařenka and Jeník — and a promise of a truly unforgettable experience for the audience. Equally exceptional is the costume design, featuring original Blata folk costumes, created specifically for this production, as the village is part of the culturally and historically significant region of South Bohemian Blata.
