Holasovice tavern

Experience the atmosphere of a peasant pub

The Holasovice tavern is located on the west side of the village square in farmhouse no. 18. It is divided into three parts - a bar, a summer garden and a hall. The capacity of the bar is about 40 seats, the garden is about 60 seats and the hall about 120 people. History of the building

The building was built after the demolition of the older buildings as a municipal inn before the First World War. Since then it has undergone a number of modifications. Originally the farmhouse had the same layout as the others. The major changes are plotted in the land registers, which show the demolished wooden barn, but mainly the new buildings - the house, which is situated longitudinally to the village square across the full width of the plot, the building on the north side of the yard and the broken set of outbuildings in the yard. The original inn was divided by a passage at the third and fourth window axis from the right, as shown by the common upper framing of these windows. The narrow section on the right contained the barterer's flat. To the left of the passage was the hall, where a single door remains in its original position in the façade. Today's entrance - on the fifth axis from the left - was created from a former window. Conversely, the wider jamb at the second window from the left suggests an entrance to the left of the plan with a flat and a bay window room. Today the Great Hall occupies the entire right half.
