South Bohemian Theatre plays in Holasovice

The Opera of the South Bohemian Theatre once again presents an iconic work of Czech opera in the unique setting of the farmstead of Holašovice. The typical South Bohemian village has retained its 19th century architectural form of the so-called Peasant Baroque, making it an absolutely authentic setting for the adventurous courtship of Marenka and Jeník, and at the same time promising a truly unforgettable audience experience. The costume design is also extraordinary, with original Blat costumes made especially for this production, as the village is part of the important cultural and historical area of the South Bohemian Blats.
